Converge Writers and Contributors

As the editor of Converge Online, Jessica Mulholland manages the site's editorial content. She is also the associate editor of Governing magazine, and previously was the editor of Emergency Management magazine and associate editor of Government Technology magazine. She has more than 10 years of experience as a writer and editor.

As a staff writer and copy editor for Converge, Russell Nichols writes and edits stories and custom publications. Previously, he has worked for various publications including the Boston Globe, where he served as a city reporter. He received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Florida A&M University.

As the managing editor for Converge Online, Tanya Roscorla writes feature stories, reports industry news and checks stories for accuracy. She graduated from California State University, Chico, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and previously wrote for several California newspapers.

Bernard Percy is a noted educator and communicator; from 1998 to 2003 he was co-founder and editor in chief of Converge magazine. Percy writes a column, Inspiration, in each issue of Converge magazine in which he discusses various education-related topics. He is the author of several books on education.

Dr. Ward Andrus is the executive director of Educational Innovation and Career Development for the Placer County Office of Education in California. Formerly, he was a principal, and vice principal at middle, high and continuation schools. Dr. Andrus earned his master's degree in educational administration from California State University, Sacramento and his doctorate of education in organizational leadership from the University of La Verne.

Phil Brody has been an educator for more than 42 years, serving in various technology–related roles for approximately 37 years. He recently retired as CTO from the Clark County School District (Las Vegas) where its technology program gained national recognition. Computerworld named Brody one of its Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2004.

As Michigan’s first First Gentleman, Daniel G. Mulhern supports state volunteerism and community service, and is an accomplished leadership coach and organizational development expert. Dan Mulhern is also a prolific public speaker, has published a book called "Everyday Leadership," and writes and publishes a free e-column “Reading for Leading,” a weekly stimulant for those who lead.

The assistant headmaster at Delphian School in Sheridan, Ore., Mark Siegel focuses on social studies, business/economics, science/technology and school information systems. Active in local, state and national public and private school affairs, Mark directs the Oregon Federation of Independent Schools and serves on the Council for American Private Education's board.

Randy Speck is the superintendent of Oakland Christian School in Auburn Hills, Mich. He has a master's degree in educational administration from Lipscomb University and an educational specialist degree in educational leadership from Oakland University. He is the founder of MySamson.net, an online K-12 learning community designed to focus on science, arts and math.
