More than 3,000 schools will be able to access Google tools to help their students and teachers learn, Google announced today.
Iowa and Colorado signed statewide agreements with Google to provide Google Apps for Education to their schools. In these schools, teachers and students can get excited about learning with Gmail, Docs, Sites, Calendar, Video and Groups, said Brent Siegrist, director of Iowa Area Education Agencies Services.
“As a former teacher, I can see how these tools will engage students, make the classroom a more vibrant place and allow teachers to work together more collaboratively.”
In April, Oregon became the first state in the nation to adopt Google Apps, and two months later, Iowa and Colorado are following suit.
