One-to-One 2.0: Building on the ‘Bring Your Own Device’ (BYOD) Revolution

New mobile applications can serve a vast array of needs and people are increasingly weaving these applications and mobile devices into the way they live, work, play and study. This is having a huge impact on education. In an effort to prepare students for jobs in a more high-tech, global economy, as well as to take advantage of the type of learning digital technology makes possible, schools are seeking ways to provide computers and digital tools to students. An increasingly popular way schools are accomplishing this is by letting students and staff bring in their own mobile devices. However, this bring-your-own-device (BYOD) strategy raises many critical questions.
