John F. Nagel Foundation (Southwest Idaho)

The John F. Nagel Foundation was established in 1989, as way to honor the memory of John F. Nagel, owner of the Nagel Beverage Company, which was eventually sold to Pepsi Bottling Company in 2009. The Foundation made its first grants in 1991, totaling $44,000 and has since grown to be valued at $34 million in assets and become the fifth largest private foundation in the state of Idaho. The foundation desires that granted funds be used to help disadvantaged individuals as directly as possible. The foundation believes in the impact people can make to build a better community when given an opportunity to better themselves through education, health care and social welfare.
