John Halpin, Vice President, Center for Digital Education

John Halpin serves as the Vice President for the Center for Digital Education. He has worked in the public sector and information technology market for over 35 years. As a veteran K-12 teacher, curriculum coordinator and college professor, Halpin has consulted with industry and the public sector to help promote the use of technology in education. He has also led sales and marketing efforts for some of the largest technology companies. In addition, Halpin has contributed to industry and professional publications as a writer and speaker. He has written for various outlets, including the national Business Journal Group, the McClatchy Newspapers chain and various corporate industry publications. He speaks often on public sector technology issues before national professional associations, various state leadership councils and technology companies.

Dr. Christopher Corallo, Executive Director of Organizational Development, Quality and Innovation, Henrico County Schools, VA

Christopher Corallo is the Executive Director of Organizational Development, Quality and Innovation for Henrico County Schools in Richmond, VA. He has extensive experience in developing and mentoring school principals and teacher leaders. Other areas of expertise include curriculum and instructional delivery and design with an emphasis on technology applications, data-driven decision making and strategic planning. Corallo has been an educator for 27 years, during which he has been a teacher, school principal and assistant superintendent for instruction in public schools in New York and Virginia. He also has extensive experience with the Virginia Department of Education on improving student achievement.

Dr. Henry Thiele, Director of Technology, Maine Township District 207, IL

Henry (Hank) Thiele has been serving Maine 207 as the Director of Technology since 2007. Prior to that, he was a technology coordinator and taught science and music. He earned his Doctorate from Roosevelt University, Chicago while investigating the impact online communication can have on learning, is a Google Certified Teacher and Administrator and is an active contributor to the education profession. Thiele is focused on providing a simple and effective way to foster learning through the appropriate use of technology. He believes that personalization of instruction, assisted by technology, allows students, parents, community and staff to improve their skills to become adaptable and productive in today's world.
