A SURPRISINGLY FRESH AND NEW EVENT-MODEL DESIGNED FOR THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY
PRESENTED BY CONVERGE AND THE CENTER FOR DIGITAL EDUCATION
DECEMBER 9 AND 10, 2009
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
Be part of the action on our beautiful San Diego multimedia stage where we’ll build new relationships in the education community. In our usual style, we’ll convene a unique collection of speakers, topics, and attendees where we’ll explore new definitions for educational outcomes aligned to a “sustainable future.”
For nine years, we have been convening education enthusiasts to discuss and explore new ways of thinking about our schools. This year the Conversation goes multimedia with live video conferencing, webcasting, tweeting, blogging and more. For the first time in the history of the Conversation, we’ll convene a live and virtual national audience.
Free of charge to public-sector leaders, the symposium is a valuable opportunity for education innovators to meet face-to-face to exchange new ideas; to discuss, disseminate and share best practices and working programs; and to network and collaborate on matters of mutual concern.
PLUS: An Education Stimulus Round Up
The Conversation welcomes the “stim czars” from around the country (live and in person). We’ll speak candidly about the legislation nearly ten months after it was signed in to law. What are the current positive results, how are we planning to go forward, and more.
The DELC vrtual attendance option is provided by Elluminate. If you have any technical questions, please contact Elluminate's support team at 866-388-8674 option 2 or visit http://www.elluminate.com/support-portal/
Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant from the popular Stuff You Should Know podcast, created and released by the website HowStuffWorks.com, join us this year at DELC! Twice weekly, their podcast educates listeners on a variety of topics ranging from “Who Owns the Seas?” to “Needed Innovations.” We’re excited to have them bring their smart, comical twist to the Digital Education Leadership Conversation as keynote speakers and emcees!

Josh Clark
Josh Clark is a senior writer at HowStuffWorks.com and, along with Chuck Bryant, serves as co-host of the Stuff You Should Know podcast. Josh attended the University of Georgia, where he studied anthropology and history and took off to start an alternative newspaper with six core classes left until graduation. He regrets nothing. When he gets the chance, Josh likes to while away his weekends watching "Magnum P.I." on DVD in his pajamas with his three sneaky dogs.

Charles W. (Chuck) Bryant
Charles W. (Chuck) Bryant co-hosts the Stuff You Should Know podcast along with his trusty sidekick, Josh Clark. He was born in Atlanta in the early 1970s under the sign of Pisces. Twenty-four years later, he earned an English degree at the University of Georgia. He spent the next decade traveling, pursuing creative endeavors and getting street smart. He and his wife-to-be moved back to Atlanta in 2004, with four pets in tow. He hooked up with HowStuffWorks.com shortly after co-host Josh was hired, and the pair bonded immediately over their love of Hunter S. Thompson, the fight-or-flight response and dive bars. In his off-time, Chuck enjoys hanging out with his wife, cooking and playing in his old-man band. He loves his neti pot and hates cold bathroom floors.
