Since we told you about the hashtag edchat a few months ago, we've seen a number of education conversations pop up on Twitter that allow educators like you to learn from each other and talk about key issues.

Some of these conversations are new, while others have been going on for a few months, but they all target specific niches in education. Check out the complete list of chats on Cybrary Man's Educational Web sites.

  • #gtchat gives parents, educators and gifted advocates a chance to talk about gifted student education every Friday at noon and 7 p.m. EST.

  • #musedchat gathers music educators from around the world on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.

  • The homeschool chat #hsc happens on the second Monday of every month between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST.

  • If you want to talk about how to change public education, check out #ecosys on Mondays at 9 p.m. EST.

  • Parents and educators can talk together with #ptchat on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST.

  • To learn from each other and discuss how to help others learn, educators can participate in #lrnchat on Thursdays from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. EST.

To participate in any of these chats, simply search for the hashtag on Twitter and add the tag to your tweets, which helps everyone keep track of the conversation. You can also add a column for the tag in the browser TweetDeck or use tools such as TweetGrid or TweetChat (this one automatically adds the hashtag to your tweet).

What have you learned from participating in chats on Twitter?
