Each week, one of four students from Empire High School will be writing entries concerning their education and experiences with technology. What makes these students different from your typical high school students is that they attend a high school that utilizes laptops rather than textbooks. Some of these students have not experienced a textbook based lesson in four years, while others are new to the school district and still learning the basics of computer use.

These students are growing up, and succeeding, in an environment that asks them to learn math, science, reading, and writing while utilizing cutting edge technology and websites as their tools.  Each blog entry will be exploring how technology is becoming a part of their education and future. We look forward to writing about a variety topics from new policies and advancements to how technology can detract from their intended goals.  Please feel free to leave comments or ask the students about their ideas on different topics.
